It’s Summer Baby! | “Lime Mojito Recipe”

Ahh the weather is changing, and that only means one thing….. summer is on it’s way! When I think of summer I think of nice nights out on the town, flip flops, short shorts and sun dresses. But most of all a nice cold drink. One that is beautifully paired with ice, fruits, juice and most of all liquor! There is nothing like ending the day with a cool refreshing drink. And if you are anything like me, then you will love this Mojito recipe that I am about to share with you.

I love mixed drinks! Don’t get me wrong I am a tequila girl at heart. I absolutely love tequila, most of the time straight with no chaser. But there are times when I want something that is a bit more easier on the palette. Something that when I am drinking it I do not taste the liquor, and it’s full of fruits and berries. A nice refreshing drink that makes me feel like I am in the tropics somewhere.

Mojito’s are one of my favorite mixed drinks. I love them even better when they are made properly. I have gone out to places and ordered a mojito and it was gross as hell. Limes are very bitter, and too much mint can be overwhelming. So it is important to have a perfect balance of the two, because if you don’t you will have a bitter mess of a drink.

My first time making mojito’s, I can honestly say I did not love it. The balance was way off, and the sugar did not melt properly for sure. So I gave it some thought and I figured out where I went wrong. And now I have the perfect and EASY recipe to share with you guys.
